"Essence of Christmas"

“The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.” Everybody waits Christmas time. It is what we all look forward to each year. It gives us a special feeling that is hard to explain. We get excited but where does this feeling really come from? Is it because of Jesus who is celebrating His birthday or is it because of the gifts we will receive? Does Jesus have a place in your heart especially on this day?

Christmas means “missa” or “mission of Christ”. It is a time of rejoicing and thanks to God who gave us Jesus the light of the world. His coming made a difference in the lives of those who believed and accepted Him thus making us children of light. The essence or spirit of Christmas is the time of Giving. Gifts are things that can make others happy. It is not so much the size or the quality that counts. Rather, it is the thought that matters. A gift is a symbol of love, of thoughtfulness, and a sign of one’s thankfulness in return for the good done. At Christmas, we also give food to the hungry, giving the poor something to wear and toys for the little ones to make them happy. The best gift that I can give to our community this Christmas is by joining the different activities to show my cooperation.

The glittering lights we enjoy during the season of Christmas remind us to be like those lights giving joy, peace, light and happiness to all those who see us. And let our hearts be thankful for the joy that this Christmas season brings.

"Learning in the 2nd quarter"

“Learning is treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.” First quarter is over. And second quarter is almost over…

I’ve learned a lot for this second quarter. I’ve learned how to use the notepad. How to use its different tags. Notepad is very useful. It can edit files of almost any format; however, unlike Word Pad, it does not treat newlines in Unix- or Mac-style text files correctly. It has one of the simplest user interfaces of any Internet Web authoring tools, totally uncluttered by GDI- hungry graphical button bars. It gives you clear, easy to read and full HTML.

So, that’s my learning for the 2nd quarter that’s all about notepad. This learning’s is important because, maybe I will need or use it someday.

My Teacher...My Hero

"A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops". A teacher is a person who educates others.

Imagine the world without teachers. Of course we have ZERO knowledge. So, thank God he created teachers to teach and give us knowledge. Thank you to my teachers for being there at times when skies were black. For helping me to know the things I need to learn to live my life and grow. Thank you for everything you share and for helping me to change my world and to every life you touched. Thank you to my teachers for their kind and attention who touched my mind and heart. I will remember you all through my whole life because you’re my hero’s.

So, we should love, respect, and obey our teachers for the betterment of humanity. Especially to the teachers who devoted their time to teach their students to have knowledge with love and compassion.

"Exploration of Science Culture"

"Sustainable development will be achieved through exploration of science culture". Science is an interesting and provocative discipline. It is a particular way of understanding the natural world. It extends the intrinsic curiosity with which we are born and allow us to connect the past with the present.
I can't imagine how life before. They were only in their homes lived so much simpler than we have today and their technology was infancy. Today, we can see the big changes in technologies. We are now quite using these technologies like computer, television, phones, cars and cameras. Nowadays, people think they cannot live without these cellphones, computers, and others. In addition, because of this technologies that were invented and developed our life/works become easier and organize.
We are using Science in our everyday living. So, we must love and understand it very well. But we must control in using these technologies to protect and save our mother earth.

"Filipino Language: From Baler to the Whole World"

Language is the expression of human communication through which knowledge, belief, and behavior can be experienced, explained, and shared. It shapes the way we think, and determines what we can think about.

The national language of the Philippines is Filipino. Where did the Filipino language came from? It came from the place Baler where Manuel L. Quezon (Father of National Language) grew up. From this place was the beginning of the determination of every Filipinos to achieve unity. Manuel Quezon was fully determined to have our own language and he fought for that. Moreover, because of him, we have our own language and we should be thankful for his accomplishment.

The Filipino Language is vital for the success and development of our country. It serves as a tool or instrument for us, Filipinos, to have unity and to be able to understand each other very well wherever part we may be in our country. With the existence of our own language, we can express our thoughts and feelings.

Therefore, we should love, respect, and be proud of the Filipino Language. Because, there’s no more important to person than to have the freedom to express his/her self wherever he/she may be, through the use of his/her own language.

There are sayings that learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The beginning of knowledge is the discovery of something we do not understand. There is no end to education. That is what learning is. you suddenly understand something you have understood all your life, but in a new way.

I have also learned about the importance of computer and internet, making blogs and the unfamiliar search terms. There are also challenges that I have encountered, like, making our group project despite our busy schedule of all activities in school and work to be done in all our subjects. However, despites in all the problems, I or we solved it by making our time wisely. Moreover, in a group project the members should have a cooperation to make the project beautiful and well presentable.

Therefore, I have learned a lot and experience some challenges in this first quarter. But, this is the beginning of the so many challenges and experiences. Moreover, I will do my best to improve my abilities and discover new things in the next quarters.

"Wastong Nutrisyon Kailangan, Lifestyle Diseases Iwasan"

Nowadays, many people suffers from diseases because they have no proper nutrition. What is Lifestyle Diseases? Lifestyle Diseases are diseases of civilization, found mostly in countries which are technologically developed and where the lifespan of the population increases. Long periods of inappropiate relationship of people with their environment bring about these lifestyle diseases which take years to develop, and once encountered do not lend themselves to cure.

The rapid rise of communicable diseases represents one of the major health challenges to global development. This growing challenge threatens economic and social development, as well as the lives and health of millions of people. We should have a proper nutrition because it plays a major role in the prevention, control and management of lifestyle-related noncommunicable diseases across the life course. We should developed nutritional guidelines to improve the nutritional condition of the population, thus prevent lifestyle diseases. These are the followings: Eat a variety of foods everyday, Eat more vegetables, fruits and root crops, drink plenty of water, maintain children's normal growth through proper diet and monitor their growth regularly, eat clean and safe food, and for a healthy lifestyle and good nutrition, exercise regularly and avoid drinking alcoholic beverages.

So, with the changing lifestyle of Filipinos, chronic diseases are becoming significant public health problems. Healthy diets, regular exercise, abstinence from smoking and moderate alcohol intake are key components of a healthy lifestyle.
